Lenten Guidelines

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent.  Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics.  In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.fast and abstinence

The norms on fasting are obligatory for  all persons who have completed their 18th birthday through their 59th year, unless prevented by poor health.  When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.

The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon persons who have reached their 14th birthday, unless prevented by poor health.  On days of abstinence, the consumption of meat is not allowed.

Stations of the Cross

Join us in the church at 7:00 pm on March 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 31st to recall and meditate on events from Christ's last day on earth as a man.stations

The Stations of the Cross are most commonly prayed on Fridays during Lent, and especially on Good Friday, the day of the year upon which the events actually occurred.
