Michelle East is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received both her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration. She is a retiree of The University of Alabama at Birmingham where she worked for twenty-five years in financial management on the research side of campus. Michelle is an action-oriented leader with proven experience in financial management, human resource management, budget development and strategic planning. She became bookkeeper at Sacred Heart Church of Jesus in January 2022. In this role, she is responsible for the overall fiscal management of the Parish. Michelle manages the Parishes financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. She is also responsible for budget development and reporting for the Priest, General Manager and Parish Finance Committee. Michelle exhibits qualities of being trustworthy, knowledgeable, organized and detail oriented. She works diligently at being a good steward to deliver accurate financial reporting and guidance for the Parish.
